Description:

Reporting to the Manager – Sports Operations, the incumbent will act as a resource person to ensure the smooth functioning of registration periods related to culture, sports, recreation and community development. He or she will act as a resource person for questions relating to registrations, the management software and the Multiservice Card. He or she will also be required to use the functions of the management software.

The mission of the Culture, Sports, Leisure and Community Development Department is to improve quality of life by promoting accessibility, participation, and integration of all citizens through the provision of excellent community, cultural, sports and recreational facilities, activities, and services.

General responsibilities and goals:

The jobholder’s main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Enter the required information (descriptions, dates, costs, etc.) in the management software.
  • Extract and compile various data to obtain simple statistics to generate reports.
  • Participate in the organization of registration periods in conjunction with the relevant managers.
  • Occasionally guide the work of a few employees assigned to registration periods and check the quality of their work.
  • Act as a resource person during enrolment periods, for all matters relating to the management software and the production of the Multiservice Card.
  • Receive, analyze, process and follow up on customer requests, complaints and comments.
  • Produce various informational and procedural documents.
  • Perform simple translations of texts.
  • Cash various sums of money and reconcile registration deposits by activity sector.
  • Occasionally train employees in the use of management software as required.
  • Suggest improvements to management software to immediate supervisor.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements:

  • College diploma associated with a program of study in the appropriate sector
  • The job requires one (1) year's experience in work that allows familiarization with the nature of the job, or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent according to established policy.
  • Bilingualism (French and English spoken)
  • Good knowledge of written French and knowledge of written English is an asset
  • Demonstrate tact, calmness and courtesy
  • Knowledge and ability with computer tools
  • Problem-solving skills and good judgment
  • Organized and detail-oriented

Schedule:

35 hours per week Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., minus 45 minutes for lunch, Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon
