OVERVIEW
Reporting primarily to the Manager of Learner Engagement, the Learner Support and Operations Specialist is a member of the Operations team and supports the learner experience at Robertson College. This role will co-report to the Manager of Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Learner Support
- Attend faculty/staff meetings and training sessions.
- Respond to student questions and concerns, documenting all correspondence in the student file.
- Maintain regular contact with assigned learners and follow the Learner Review Committee process guidelines.
- Collaborate with other teams to assist learners while actively participating in the Learner Review Committee.
- Promote and communicate learner resources, including software and the Student Portal
- Print & prepare Diplomas & Transcripts for mailing to graduates
Operations Support
- Assists the Manager with ongoing program scheduling changes (as needed) in collaboration with other teams and departments
- Participate in enrollment audits for upcoming courses and program starts
- Assists the Manager with reviewing and maintaining the instructor information sheets
- Assists the team with weekly course instructor content audits for course starts
- Enroll students in courses (as needed)
Documentation/Records/Process reviews
- Review and evaluate procedures and make necessary updates to process documents continuously
- Review student files before graduation to determine graduation eligibility.
- Process legal name change requests and add this data to the student record system.
- Performs other duties/participates in special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in business, administrative office assistant, or similar.
- 2-3 years of related experience in an environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students and team members.
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed; objective-oriented with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer and digital literacy skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse, inclusive environment.
- A clear criminal record check
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: In-person - Winnipeg Campus
Schedule: 8 AM- 4 PM (Monday - Friday)
Salary: $42, 000 - $44, 000 per year
