Social Strategist, Love Nature (Languages) (1 Year Contract)
Blue Ant Media is seeking a Social Media Strategist to develop and manage the content strategy and community engagement for Love Nature’s localized language YouTube channels. This Strategist will work cross-functionally with the Love Nature team to ensure all content is optimized for audience growth and revenue, aligns with brand values and achieves quarterly business targets.
This role will report into the Manager, Digital Strategy and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.
Salary Range - $50,000 - $55,000
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day editorial calendars and operation of multiple YouTube channels including promptly resolving claims, ownership conflicts and community management
- Optimize titles, descriptions, and keywords for SEO. Write and edit metadata and copy for videos and channels
- Collaborate with the social editor, media services and freelancers to translate and create content with the goals of driving subscriber growth and watch time to increase RPM and revenue
- Create engaging thumbnails for YouTube videos with Adobe Photoshop
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for each brand providing insights on audience engagement, revenue targets, and suggest content optimization strategies
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and work independently across many projects at the same time
- Strong expertise in content & publishing optimization for YouTube with the goal of building revenue and community
- Up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
- Understanding of SEO and platform-specific metrics to make recommendations for content strategy
- Knowledge and experience using social media for building brand unity and awareness
- Basic proficiency using Photoshop
