About the role
Job Overview The Junior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Financial Controller, is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements. The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Duties
- Analyze various transactions and accounts (AP, AR, GL)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- GL journal entry preparation and month end closing support
- Physical asset maintenance
- Provide support for various functional tasks
Experience
- Degree or diploma in Accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a finance/accounting department
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP?s, pivot tables)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
- Ability to work in a team environment and to work well under pressure
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask within tight deadlines
