About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk with strong advanced Excel skills to support inventory accuracy and material flow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking inventory, analyzing data, and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Use advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis) to track, analyze, and report inventory data
- Prepare inventory reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for management
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
- Enter and update inventory transactions in ERP or inventory management systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and efficiency
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma in Business Administration or related field an asset
- Three (3) years of experience in an inventory role within manufacturing environment preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, data validation, lookups, reporting)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies
- Experience working with ERP system and/or Navision (preferred)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
