About the role

Pulp Moulded Products is a leading provider of customized protective packaging with a commitment to producing zero waste packaging. We are looking for a shipper/receiver/material handler to join our growing team.

The Shipping/Receiving/Material Handler is responsible for the safe and accurate flow of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound shipments of raw materials, including bales of recycled fiber.

  • Verify quantities, lot numbers, and condition of all incoming materials against packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders; identify and document any shortages, overages, or damage.

  • Receive materials into the ERP/WMS system accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Pick, stage, and load finished moulded fiber products for outbound shipment to customers, distribution centers, and contract pack partners.

  • Verify pick lists, shipping labels, lot numbers, and quantities against the shipping order; ensure the right product goes to the right customer.

  • Build, wrap, and secure pallets to protect lightweight, easily-crushed moulded fiber products in transit.

  • Prepare and process shipping documentation: bills of lading, packing lists, customer-specific labels, ASNs, and any export paperwork.

  • Conduct trailer inspections (cleanliness, dryness, no odors, no pests) before loading to maintain food-safe and clean-room shipment standards.

  • Supply production lines with raw materials, packaging supplies (cartons, dividers, stretch wrap), and consumables.

  • Move finished goods from the end of production lines to staging, QA hold or finished goods warehouse locations.

  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, walkie stackers, and clamp trucks safely and within rated capacity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Current forklift certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn an ERP/WMS system (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent) and RF scanning.
  • Ability to read pick lists, BOLs, packing slips, shipping labels, and SDS.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, counts, and documentation.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in pulp & paper moulded fibre packaging, food packaging, or other paper based manufacturing.

  • Experience working in facilities with food-contact, BPI compostable or recycled-content certifications.
