About the role

About Us
At Kehoe, we've built our legacy on a commitment to quality and innovation; and it's our passionate and skilled team that leads the way.

Kehoe Marine Construction is a family-owned marine contractor with humble beginnings and a strong local foundation. Since 2000, we've grown from a small dock manufacturer; into Ontario's trusted leader in marine construction.

The Position

As the Project Coordinator, you’ll join Kehoe with your first major assignment being the Boundary Road Site Restoration project in Brechin, Ontario. This Parks Canada civil construction project involves the safe demolition and removal of legacy bridge structures—concrete abutments, piers, gabion baskets, asphalt, and a former operator building—followed by full site restoration including grading, riprap shoreline stabilization, asphalt reinstatement, guide rail installation, and vegetation restoration.

You’ll coordinate activity on both sides of the Talbot River and help ensure strict environmental and reporting standards are met. It’s a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with skilled crews, and driving impactful restoration work that improves public spaces.

  • Completes quality control monitoring and testing to ensure work meets all specifications, project requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Performs ongoing environmental monitoring, including erosion control checks, spill prevention inspections, sediment control observations, and wildlife reporting.
  • Supports site restoration tracking (grading, riprap, vegetation, asphalt reinstatement) and ensures all environmental documentation is complete and accurate.

Health and Safety

  • Oversees the setup and maintenance of the jobsite safety board, ensuring all required documentation is current and accessible.
  • Supports implementation of the project Health & Safety Plan, including FLRAs, emergency response plans, toolbox talks, and daily safety requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with OHSA and COR requirements, with accurate documentation and tracking through Corfix or similar systems.
  • Maintains safety records, inspections, and field documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.

Communication and Reporting

  • Manages project correspondence related to site compliance, materials, equipment needs, and inspection requirements.
  • Prepares and submits required daily reports, environmental logs, quality documentation, and regulatory submissions.
  • Provides clear status updates and milestone progress reports to the Senior Project Manager, noting schedule impacts, resource needs, or emerging risks.
  • Interacts directly with Parks Canada inspectors and representatives during site inspections, walkthroughs, and compliance reviews.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
