Job Description:
Parsons Inc is seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Equipment Operator/Trainee to join our Kaska Equipment Training Program . As a participant, you will be responsible for completing your Class 3 Certification and operating various types of equipment to support project execution while adhering to safety standards and company policies . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in equipment operation and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.
Candidates must be local to Faro or Ross River.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, loaders, excavators, or other machinery as assigned under a Class 3 License.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Acceptance into a Class 3 Training Certification Course
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Ability to learn and operate various types of equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in equipment operation or related field is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working in environments that may involve exposure to outdoor elements, loud noises, and physical labor.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
