Vancouver Honda is currently looking to fill the position of a Lube Technician.
Essential Duties:
- Perform oil and filter changes using manufacturer-recommended oil grades, quantities, and procedures.
- Inspect and top off all essential fluids (coolant, brake, transmission, washer, etc.).
- Check and adjust tire pressures; perform visual tire inspections and report wear or damage.
- Mount, balance, and rotate tires using tire machines and wheel balancers.
- Assist in the removal and installation of exhaust system components including mufflers, pipes, and catalytic converters.
- Replace and test exterior vehicle light bulbs (headlights, taillights, turn signals), ensuring proper function and alignment.
- Test, remove, install, and service vehicle batteries, including cleaning terminals and securing connections.
- Replace windshield wiper blades and verify proper operation for safe driving conditions.
- Assist in diagnosing and addressing common water leaks (e.g., weather seals, drain tubes, gaskets).
- Perform minor interior and exterior trim repairs or replacements (e.g., door panels, clips, moldings).
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and communicate findings to service advisors and senior technicians.
- Adhere to all safety standards and shop procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
All successful applicants must possess the following qualities:
- Automotive service experience or technical training preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and basic shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with tire mounting/balancing equipment and fluid exchange machines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the automotive service field.
