We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Sr Business Systems Manager to be a versatile team member that supports the team and Product Owner by supporting development of strategies and acting as a change agent for development of solutions and the application of technology; The successful questions assumptions and requirements, assesses needs, finds gaps, and works closely with subject matter experts. The role gathers and analyzes artefacts to help the Product Owners deliver product (and other initiatives) in alignment with the Gaming Division’s strategic goals. The role also supports the product roll-out plan and post-implementation success measurements (i.e., KPIs) to inform future products..
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME Reporting to the Technology Product Owner - Corporate Services, you will be empowered to:
- Develops and maintains partnerships with business, facilitating stakeholder analysis and requirements gathering sessions with key business and technology stakeholders to establish business value through the business case driving the business needs, workflows, bespoke system functionality and solutions to guide the development activities.
- Develop and maintain business and systems analysis artifacts required through the full lifecycle of a product from inception through ongoing support.
- Identify risks, constraints, dependencies and assist in the development of roll-out plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure a successful roll-out.
- Assist Business and Technical Product Owners to understand costs associated with supporting the full requirement, i.e., costs associated with to engaging with third party vendors, estimation of internal resource efforts and costs to deliver the full solution.
- Support the Business and Technical Product Owners and teams in developing business goals, outcomes, capturing and analyzing acceptance criteria, defining KPIs and other metrics to track business and technical outcomes to manage the health of the systems.
- Facilitate breakdown of development work in the system of work (e.g., Kanbanize, JIRA) into epics, features, and stories.
- Work with Quality Assurance to ensure acceptance criteria is understood and that web test scenarios are built accordingly, while building out and executing User Acceptance Test plans and scenarios, reporting defects, and identifying resolutions.
- Leads the development of business processes and collaborate with partners within the division on continuous improvement initiatives to ensure effective implementation of technology solutions.
- Support the implementation of solutions into production and work with stakeholders to develop and implement the roll-out plan and conduct knowledge transfer for ongoing operations.
- Responsible to ensure new and modified business policies and procedures (e.g., standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows) are maintained ensure effective implementation of technology solutions in order to provide consistent quality of outputs.
- Maintains domain and industry expertise, promoting architectural consistency and usability standards in the solution designs as well as incorporating business goals to streamlined user experience, understanding the customer journey, and translating into user stories in order to ensure consistency.
What You Need To Play Work Experience:
- Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role in a medium-sized organization
- Previous business analyst/system analyst experience with digital teams preferred.
- Experience in test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
- Prior experience with Agile system of work and defect tracking system (example: Kanbanize and JIRA).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal academic training in business and system analysis methods and processes.
- Competent in conducting various types of independent analysis including skills in data collection, cleaning, and analysis and the ability to extract/ present insights and findings.
- Knowledge of relevant aspects of a Digital business and technology components to support requirements gathering/business casing.
- Knowledge and experience in Agile methodology and tools is an asset.
Critical Skills:
- Ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to make real-time decisions and produce high quality output under strict and accelerated timelines with demonstrated 80/20 approach to structure and solution. Demonstrated ability to perform business and system analysis tasks throughout the software development lifecycle from discovery through to production deployment and ongoing operations.
