Calian is currently hiring a Senior Learning Advisor to support on a full-time basis our customer located in Gatineau, Quebec. This role requires an on-site presence to complete tasks requested.

Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs analysis and requirements assessment
- Assist in the development of contractual documentation and bid evaluations
- Support contractor and DND training design and development processes
- Review training deliverables to determine acceptability
- Advise and assist project stakeholders in change management activities
- Engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance in
- training content
- Collaborate with project personnel and stakeholders to align training strategies
- with project objectives
- Develop and refine training-related documentation, including Government Furnished Information (GFI) submissions; Technical Information Requests (TIRs); Requests for Information (RFIs); Statements of Work (SOW); Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs); and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs)
- Support training framework development, including Initial Cadre Training (ICT), Conversion Training (CT), and Steady-State Training (SST); Learning Management System (LMS) integration; and In-Service Support (ISS) transition planning
- Assess and provide recommendations on training risks, assumptions, and technology-enabled learning opportunities
- Facilitate training working groups and contribute to strategic training implementation plans
- Assess and provide recommendations on training risks, assumptions, and

- Develop, review, and manage Course Control Documentation (CCD), including specifications and qualification standards
- Support the evaluation and acceptance of contractor-delivered training solutions
- Capture and document lessons learned throughout project phases to inform
continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Must have a graduate university degree with a specialization in one of the following fields: Education, Adult Learning, Distance Learning, or eLearning; Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Senior Learning Advisor; Must have completed at least three (3) analyses of learning needs over the past five
(5) years; and Must have completed at least three (3) learning
strategy plans over the past five (5) years
OR
Must have an undergraduate degree from a post-secondary institution with a specialization in one of the following fields: Education, Adult Learning, Distance Learning, or eLearning; and Must have a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a Senior Learning Advisor
AND
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years from date of bid closing performing analysis or implementation of simulation-based training
- Must have developed learning assessment plans such as course critiques, surveys, development of data collection tools, etc. in a minimum of three (3) of the following topics from date of bid closing within the last seven (7) years: Education; Adult Learning; Instructional design; Distance Learning; eLearning; Blended Learning; Change management; Learning administration / management; Organizational behavior; or Industrial psychology
- Must clearly demonstrate they have delivered training or learning sessions within the past three (3) years from date of bid closing in at least three (3) of the following topics: Education; Adult Learning; Instructional design; Distance Learning; eLearning; Blended Learning; Change management; Learning administration / management; Organizational behavior; or Industrial psychology
Additional Requirements
- Be fluent in the English language
- Be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance
- Be available to travel to Canadian Forces Base Comox (BC) and Greenwood (NS)
