About the Role

We are currently hiring Developmental Service Workers (DSW) to provide high-quality, compassionate support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental delays, mental health conditions, and behavioral challenges in residential and day treatment programs. Staff play a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment that fosters growth, independence, and community inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage residents in daily routines and structured programming
  • Provide support in recreation, life skills education, and behavior management
  • Ensure medication routines are followed and documented accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment
  • Drive agency vehicles as needed for client outings or appointments
  • Complete documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and medication records
  • Comply with agency and Ministry policies, Health & Safety, and crisis protocols
  • Support personal care needs, including hygiene, grooming, and health routines
  • Assist in community integration and social/recreational participation
  • Actively contribute to a respectful, team-based support environment

Qualifications (Required):

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Developmental Services Work (DSW) or related field.
  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification
  • Valid Crisis Intervention training (CPI and/or UMAB)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 12 months or willingness to obtain
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a group home or residential setting with individuals with ASD, developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Availability:

  • Must be available to work rotational shifts across 7 days a week
  • Steady shifts available with potential for Temporary full-time placement for the right candidate
