Your Opportunity:
Working under the general supervision and guidance of the Postpartum Community Services (PPCS) Area and Care Managers, this Admin Support III position will perform a variety of reception, clerical and office duties to support the Postpartum Community Services program. As the Admin Support III, you will be required to communicate effectively with other healthcare providers, patients and members of the public. Therefore, fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly is crucial to your success. You will be responsible for timely and accurate data verification, and appointment bookings in Connect Care, and all accompanying tasks. Additional job duties include front reception, filing, scanning, stocking of clinic supplies, booking taxi’s, and managing incoming and outgoing supplies/mail. This position must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions, be flexible with changing priorities and processes, and be able to cope successfully with competing demands and frequent interruptions. The employee in this position must work collaboratively, as a team player within a culturally diverse, multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a strong work ethic. This includes following program guidelines, processes and expectations, maintaining confidentiality of all AHS information in accordance with the Health Information Act and Freedom of Information and Privacy Act, and maintain professional behaviour in accordance with the AHS values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Safety.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience within the past 5 years, performing administrative support in an office setting. Experience with keyboarding, transcribing data, and data entry, demonstrating a high degree of accuracy. Knowledge and proficiency in keyboarding, and using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Typing skills (40 WPM). Must be physically able to lift/carry/pull/push up to 25 lbs; sit for long periods at a computer, as well as move as needed throughout the office setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant program. Experience using Connect Care and NETCARE.
