About the Role
The Solution Specialist serves as the highest tier of technical expertise within the customer support and solution delivery ecosystem. This role bridges advanced troubleshooting, solution engineering, and strategic technical advisory to ensure the optimal performance, stability, and adoption of our SaaS solutions. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams, the Support Engineer plays a critical role in both resolving complex issues and shaping future product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Technical Support & Escalation

  • Serve as the final point of escalation for complex SaaS platform issues beyond L1 and L2 support capabilities.
  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting involving APIs, integrations, databases, and application performance.
  • Lead incident recovery efforts during high-severity outages, ensuring minimal customer impact.

Solution Design & Optimization

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to design and refine customer-specific configurations.
  • Evaluate existing deployments and recommend optimizations for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Review technical proposals to ensure alignment with best practices and customer requirements.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or critical issues and develop permanent corrective measures.
  • Document resolution steps and ensure knowledge transfer to lower-tier support teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in problem prevention through monitoring and automation.

Implementation & Deployment Support

  • Assist with complex onboarding, migration, and integration projects.
  • Validate new features, patches, and releases in staging before production deployment.
  • Provide post-deployment technical guidance to ensure customer success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management to provide feedback for feature enhancements.
  • Work with Engineering teams to reproduce defects and validate fixes.
  • Engage with Customer Success Managers to proactively address customer needs.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Develop detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Mentor and train L1 and L2 teams to strengthen their technical capabilities.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of known issues and best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay current on SaaS architecture trends, cloud infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and self-service improvements.
  • Contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives for new tools and integrations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in technical support, solution engineering, or SaaS platform administration.
  • Proficiency in API troubleshooting, scripting, Python, JavaScript, and database querying.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bonus points for individuals with experience working with Android and iOS Client Library SDKs and/or Databricks.
