Salary Range
$29.53 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $32.97 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
To provide technical and logistical support in the operation of the Biology laboratory including the preparation of activities, materials and displays, subject to the curricula approval of the Biology faculty, supporting Lab Facilitators in their laboratory preparation duties for 2nd and 3rd year courses, and coordinating the maintenance, care and control of laboratory equipment and supplies.

WHAT IT TAKES
- Good working knowledge of the English language (written and verbal).
- Excellent working knowledge of safety measures related to the operation of a biology laboratory, including WHMIS regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the public.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge in the field of Biology.
- Proven ability to effectively demonstrate proper laboratory techniques.

This regular part-time (24 hours per week) 8**-months repeating term** position is available starting September 10, 2025.

Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday; Start and end times variable. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department’s need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.

The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at the Coquitlam campus.
