The Online Data Analyst analyzes digital data from websites, apps, and online campaigns to identify trends, improve performance, and support strategic decision-making. This role focuses on turning raw online data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and analyze data from online sources such as websites, social media, e-commerce platforms, and digital advertising tools
Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and conversion metrics
Create reports and dashboards using tools like Google Analytics, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in online data
Provide recommendations to improve user experience, marketing effectiveness, and business performance
Track and evaluate digital marketing campaigns (SEO, PPC, email, social media)
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality
Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams
Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau)
Basic understanding of statistics and data modeling
Knowledge of digital marketing metrics (CTR, bounce rate, conversion rate, ROI)
Attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools
Understanding of SEO, UX/UI analytics, and customer journey analysis
Experience with large datasets and automation
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role (entry-level roles may require less)
