Job Description

AltaGas - Internal Audit Coordinator

Coordinates the portfolio‑level schedule and workflows across Internal Audit (IA), SOX, and ERM; manages the IA budget; supports SOX program coordination; provides project management support for ERM; and produces executive‑ready decks for leadership and the Audit Committee. Maintains templates, tools, and reporting with strong organization, confidentiality, and follow‑through. The Coordinator manages the larger team’s schedule (capacity, master calendar, dependencies) across IA/SOX/ERM. Individual engagement scheduling is owned by IA Managers. QA/QC of deliverables is owned by the Senior Business Analyst; this role supports packaging and version control only.

You Will:

  • Own the master calendar, resourcing views, and cross‑program dependencies; surface conflicts and options for VP IA decisions.
  • Coordinate walkthrough/testing windows, evidence flow, status dashboards, and remediation tracking; prepare management/Audit Committee updates.
  • Schedule risk workshops/committees, maintain the risk register/heatmaps, track mitigations/KRIs, and align IA reporting to enterprise risks (administrative/PM support only to preserve independence).
  • Build concise, executive‑ready materials (dashboards, heatmaps, quarterly updates, board decks) and run the reporting calendar.
  • Manage the IA budget (forecasting, expense tracking, variance analysis); handle POs/invoices, co‑sourcing spend, T&E in line with policy.
  • Maintain templates, version control, and collaboration spaces; support rollouts and usage of AuditBoard/TeamMate+/Archer, M365, and Power BI.
  • Orchestrate agendas, minutes, and action logs across IA/SOX/ERM forums; liaise with IA Managers, control owners, executives, and partners.

You Have:

  • Proven portfolio scheduling/resource coordination across multiple programs.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and strong Excel; able to produce executive‑ready decks/dashboards.
  • Familiarity with SOX/ICFR cycles and ERM governance; hands‑on PMO/coordination experience.
  • Budget management (forecasting, expense tracking, POs/invoices; co‑sourcing spend).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel) and audit/GRC/BI tools (e.g., AuditBoard/TeamMate+/Archer; Power BI).
  • Excellent organization, communication, discretion, and follow‑through.
  • Education & Experience
  • 5+ years in coordination/PMO/internal audit support (IA/SOX/ERM preferred).
  • Post Secondary Education
