The Opportunity
WCLC is currently hiring for a Network Analyst with a high-level of technical competency, independence and demonstrated experience for our Infrastructure Services department in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will join a team that is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance and support of our Gaming and Non-Gaming IT infrastructure. The position participates in technical research and infrastructure projects to further innovations for the IT infrastructure. The position reports to the Supervisor of IT Network Services and participates in an On-Call process that responds to requests from clients and operational alerts according to defined policies.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tier 2 technical support, coordination, facilitation and troubleshooting of networking issues or requests for WCLC’s Gaming and Non-Gaming core IT infrastructure and all telco gateways for Retailer networks and other service providers across member provinces.

Implement, maintain and optimize WCLC’s wired and wireless networking infrastructure including WCLC’s WAN infrastructure.

Provision, configure, and manage Software-Defined Data Centre networking platforms, including the deployment and lifecycle management of underlay and overlay network fabrics, and perform planned or emergency updates to controller platforms, network operating systems, firmware, and security components.

Monitor networking systems performance, resource utilization and trending for capacity planning and to ensure availability and reliability.

Research, analyze and recommend solutions or innovations where possible to implement new or improve existing operational processes and procedures.

Participate in implementing operational plans and objectives to improve networking service delivery.

Work within established Change Management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of networking changes made to the IT infrastructure.

Oversee networking hardware licensing and support contracts.

Maintain up-to-date documentation of the WCLC’s networking infrastructure including configuration procedures and scripts using applications to store networking diagrams, IP address information, etc.

Some overtime and On-Call support is required.
Qualifications
-
University degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering, an Information Technology diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (including international credentials)

Minimum 4+ years of hands-on networking experience supporting complex enterprise environments

Strong practical experience with enterprise networking technologies
-
Experience with Cisco networking technologies, including Nexus data centre switches, ASA/Firepower firewalls, ISR routers, Catalyst switches, wireless controllers, and access points
-
Experience with VMware networking
-
Experience with VoIP and video conferencing networks
-
Assets: Cisco CCNP certification; Cisco ISE; F5 BigIP; SD-WAN / SD-Access; Azure networking; experience with a network provider or telecom environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and vendor partners
