Job Description
Canadian Helicopters is looking for an aircraft painter. The selected candidate will be working with the maintenance department located in Les Cèdres, QC, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Reporting to the maintenance manager, the painter will be required to:
Surface Preparation:
- Clean, sand, strip, and mask the helicopter and/or its components to prepare surfaces for primer and paint.
- Inspect surfaces for corrosion, structural issues, or coating defects.
Painting & Finishing:
- Apply primers, base coats, topcoats, and specialty coatings using spray-painting equipment.
- Mix and match paint colors to meet OEM specifications.
- Inspect finished work.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all hazardous material handling procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe paint booth and work environment.
Collaboration:

Work closely with other painters, maintenance technicians, and production managers to coordinate paint schedules.
Qualifications

DEP in bodywork, an asset, or,
-
AEP in industrial painting, an asset, or,
-
Experience in an equivalent position is an asset.

Knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, and HVLP spray equipment.

Familiarity with aviation coatings (polyurethane, epoxy primers, anti-corrosion coatings).

Understanding safety standards related to chemical handling.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Possess good organizational skills.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift
