Are you an experienced insurance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for client service? Aaxel Insurance Brokers is seeking a motivated Personal Lines Insurance Team Leader to lead, coach, and support a team of Personal Lines Insurance Brokers and Customer Service Representatives.

This role is ideal for someone who can drive sales, retention, service quality, compliance, and team performance while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.

About the Role

The Personal Lines Insurance Team Leader is responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a team of Personal Lines Insurance Brokers and Customer Service Representatives to achieve sales, retention, service, quality control, and compliance objectives.

The Team Leader will oversee daily operations, monitor performance metrics, provide technical guidance, support business growth, and ensure exceptional client service while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

The salary range for this role is $60,000-$75,000 depending on experience.

This is a full-time position based in Ontario and requires on-site work.

Office location: 2000 Argentia Road, Plaza 5, Suite 500, Mississauga, ON, L5N 2R7 (Head Office)

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Personal Lines Insurance Brokers and support staff. Recruit, train, and support team members to help them succeed in their roles. Establish individual and team sales, retention, service, and performance goals. Monitor productivity and performance against established KPIs. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment. Manage scheduling, attendance, and workload distribution. Ensure prompt, professional, and responsive service delivery to all clients. Handle escalated client concerns and service issues in a professional manner. Monitor retention performance and develop strategies to reduce policy cancellations. Provide technical guidance on underwriting guidelines, policy coverage interpretation, and insurer appetite. Maintain strong working relationships with insurance company underwriters and business development representatives. Ensure proper documentation and file management standards are maintained. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, brokerage policies, procedures, and insurer requirements. Facilitate carrier audits and provide guidance on audit findings. Conduct regular quality assurance reviews of client files and transactions. Ensure all licensing and continuing education requirements are maintained.

What You Will Bring to Aaxel

Valid RIBO license in good standing is preferred. 3+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience required. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products, underwriting guidelines, insurer appetite, and coverage interpretation. Strong sales, retention, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a team. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Ability to manage escalated client concerns professionally and effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and quality assurance. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with brokerage management systems and Microsoft Office. CIP, FCIP, CAIB, or Insurance Diploma designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset.
