Position Overview: The Owner Operator Administrator is an integral member of Seaboard Transport's Owner Operator Administration team, which is responsible for managing the policies and processes that shape the Owner Operator experience from onboarding through to offboarding. In this role, the Administrator is primarily focused on reconciling final pay for exiting Owner Operators - consolidating data across multiple systems, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring financial accuracy for all parties. Beyond reconciliation, the Administrator manages the flow of Owner Operator-related information across departments, participates in process improvement initiatives, and communicates directly with Owner Operators to build trust and ensure a positive experience. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytically minded professional who can work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Dartmouth, NS
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities Exit Reconciliation

  • Reconcile all amounts owed to and from exiting Owner Operators to ensure financial accuracy for all parties

  • Consolidate and organize data across multiple systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies to accurately calculate final pay

  • Recognize, document, and escalate issues or areas of concern to support continuous improvement

Process & Policy Administration

  • Manage the flow of Owner Operator-related information across departments to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures

  • Participate in the development and implementation of new administrative processes

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting to ensure timely and correct payments to Owner Operators

Owner Operator Relations

  • Communicate with Owner Operators in a professional and timely manner, fostering trust and a positive experience

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for Owner Operator inquiries related to administrative matters

General

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of team and organizational goals

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (considered an asset)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization and analysis
  • Some accounting knowledge or experience is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proven attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a team setting
  • Knowledge of transportation or trucking operations is considered an asset
