NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It is Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant which began mass production in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

The HR Team at NextStar Energy plays a vital role in supporting the company’s mid- to long-term goals by aligning our people strategies with the evolving business environment. We focus on designing effective organizational structures, managing key talent, and supporting initiatives that drive employee engagement and operational excellence.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join the Planning part of our Human Resources.
This position will support both the HR team and management by assisting with day-to-day operations, HR system data entry (SuccessFactors), and coordination of key HR processes. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves frequent collaboration with internal stakeholders and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR Team and management.
- Assist with maintaining and updating employee information in SuccessFactors, including new hire onboarding, organizational updates, and performance management activities.
- Support the preparation and accuracy of HR reports, dashboards, and headcount data.
- Help coordinate communication and documentation for HR-related requests between departments and global teams.
- Assist with various HR projects and general administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (co-op or internship experience considered).
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with management and cross-functional teams in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Knowledge of the Korean language would be an advantage.
