About the role
Reports to: BIM Manager Role Overview We are seeking a skilled BIM Specialist to join our team, focusing on Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) modeling, clash detection, and 4D simulations. The ideal candidate will excel in Revit modeling, Autodesk Civil3D, and construction sequencing, ensuring seamless project coordination for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain TBM models in Autodesk Revit, ensuring compliance with project BIM/CAD standards.
- Perform clash detection, model auditing, and coordination using Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud to produce 3D BIM coordination reports.
- Create and manage construction sequencing plans, showcasing TBM interfaces across project phases.
- Aggregate and review BIM models from design partners and subcontractors, maintaining up-to-date federated models.
- Support construction scheduling with quantity take-offs and trade quantity schedules.
- Incorporate field data, including laser scanning, into federated models to generate as-built models.
- Develop and maintain BIM object and design script libraries (e.g., Dynamo, Python).
- Generate CAD drawings from Issue for Construction stage models to support construction and fit-out teams.
- Provide BIM navigation training and mentor intermediate/junior designers.
- Adhere to and promote Health & Safety policies, fostering a safe working environment.
Education And Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of BIM coordination experience, with at least 5 years on BIM-based projects, preferably in infrastructure or civil projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, ACC; familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS.
- Experience with document management systems (e.g., ProjectWise, SharePoint, Aconex).
- Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO-19650, LOD development).
- Knowledge of basic scripting (Dynamo, Python) is a plus.
- Familiarity with 4D simulation tools is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
