The work:- Design and Develop Extensions: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, flexible, and innovative extensions to SAP applications using SAP BTP Extension Suite tools such as Cloud Application Programming (CAP), SAP Build, Work Zone, Mobile Services, Cloud Foundry Environment, Kyma

• Security: Develop custom business logic, workflows, and applications within the SAP BTP environment, enhancing the functionality of core SAP solutions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba).

• Solution Architecture & Design: Collaborate with functional teams and architects to create extension strategies and design patterns that align with business requirements, clean core principles ensuring optimized performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Migration & Modernization: Lead efforts to modernize legacy SAP customizations by migrating and refactoring ABAP-based custom logic into ABAP Cloud and adopting SAP Build or CAP for building new cloud-native extensions.

• Client Interaction: Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver customized solutions that address specific business needs.

• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior developers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.

• Code Quality & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes, while leveraging SAP BTP tools to streamline deployment and lifecycle management.

• Innovation & Research: Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and trends, and proactively explore new solutions within the SAP BTP ecosystem to continuously improve our extension development approach.

• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Document extension designs, configurations, and development processes. Share knowledge across teams to promote a unified approach to SAP extension development. Here’s what you need:- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Development, with at least 3 years’ development experience working with SAP BTP Extension Suite

• Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline

• English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement. Bonus Points if:- SAP BTP Extension Suite: In-depth knowledge of SAP BTP Extension Suite and tools such as SAP Build- Work Zone, Build Apps, Cloud Application Programming (CAP), SAP Fiori, SAP Mobile Services for building cloud-native extensions.

• Strong experience in Node.JS/JavaScript programming and HANA Cloud using Business Application Studio and Build Code

• Expertise in cloud-native development concepts, including microservices architecture, containerization, serverless computing, and event-driven architectures within the SAP BTP ecosystem.

• Working knowledge of SAP BTP environments - Cloud Foundry and Kyma

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration between SAP BTP and on-premises/cloud SAP systems.

• Knowledge of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git, Jenkins, and SAP Business Application Studio to streamline the development and deployment processes.

• Agile Methodology: Experience working in an agile development environment with tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.

• Working experience of SAP XSUAA, IAS services and understanding of security best practices and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) as applied to SAP development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize extension performance

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• SAP BTP certifications are a plus. Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,
