Medical Education Coordinator

Polwarth Building, Foresterhill site, ARI

Salary: Band 4 £30,353 - £33,016 (pro rata)

Location: Polwarth Building

Hours per week: 30 hours

The NHS Grampian Medical Education Team comprises of a Postgraduate and an Undergraduate Director of Medical Education, 7 Associate Directors of Medical Education (ADME), and Trainee Leads. There is also an Undergraduate Medical Education Quality Manager and Postgraduate Medical Education Quality Manager, as well as administrative staff. The team works under the leadership of the medical directorate whilst the administrative function is part of the workforce directorate.

We currently have a vacancy for an Undergraduate Medical Education Coordinator. The successful applicant will be responsible for the organisation and daily management of undergraduate teaching within the long term conditions and integrated care block of teaching. The post is 30 hours per week and it is anticipated that the hours will be worked over 5 days with a flexible start time between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., based in the Polwarth Building.

The successful candidate should be innovative, proactive and able to work autonomously within own limitations, possess excellent communication skills and be a good team player. Attention to detail and a good level of IT skills are required. Knowledge of NHS Grampian systems and the University of Aberdeen MBChB programme would be beneficial.
