The opportunity The Intern, Infrastructure Admin role will work closely with the Linux and database administration teams to review current procedures, documentation and monitoring. They will work closely with the team to identify areas of improvement, automation and standardization, and ensure required adjustments are made. They will work closely with our 24/7 operations center to review all alerting and monitoring to identify opportunities to standardize and improve.
The role
- Review, setup and configure SolarWinds/OEM monitoring,
- Review, edit, and develop Linux and SQL server patching procedures and documentation
- Database and Unix proactive monitoring and documentation
- Standardize SQL server maintenance plan and alerting emails
- Unix patching procedures
The Requirements
- 3 rd year in Computer Science, IT, or similar field
- Unix, Linux, SQL Server, Server Administration
- Knowledge of monitoring tools, time management, organization
- English written and communication skills, French is an asset
- This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French, mainly English.
