Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Manager, Media will oversee and execute media planning for Universal Pictures Theatrical Releases in English and French Canada.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage print, OOH, digital, and broadcast campaigns

  • Manage critical path for all creative and media elements to meet deadlines and budget

  • Manage external agencies and partners in the development and execution of campaigns

  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop digital and social campaigns

  • Support other team members as necessary in the development and execution of campaigns

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience at an advertising agency, client or motion picture studio working with a marketing organization
  • Knowledgeable in digital planning and advertising channels
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong mathematical/analytical and written language skills
  • Strong understanding of media and the ability to apply that knowledge to marketing concepts
  • Attention to detail

Eligibility Requirements:

  • They will be able to strategically analyze a problem and recommend potential solutions
  • They will be able to handle multiple, detail-oriented assignments while still keeping an eye on the big picture media/marketing objectives
  • They will be open to creative uses of traditional and non-traditional media to address our business strategies
  • Curiosity in analytics, relative to the constantly evolving media landscape
  • Media planning/buying experience
  • French/English bilingualism
