Job Description

The assistant manager manages the day-to-day operations of the snow school and assists the manager, developing experience in all administrative and leadership aspects of the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day snow school operations (split with supervisor)
  • Manage staff availability, assignment, weekly master schedules
  • Manage bookings and assignments
  • Coordinate integration with sales, wholesale, and online bookings
  • Supervise and train scheduling desk staff
  • Organize daily instructor assignments and meetings
  • Organize department HR, including payroll, staff concerns, etc.
  • Communicate with guests and support staff with GS issues
  • Coordinate AST course and instructor assignments
  • Assist manager, other departments, and direct reports as necessary

Required Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada – can provide SIN documentation
  • 2 years’ Guest service supervisory experience in tourism
  • 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office, POS, CRM, and database systems
  • Office administrative experience
  • Ski industry and particularly instructing or coaching experience is a major plus
  • Work eligibility in Canada
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Passion for the mountains, guest service and the sport
  • Can produce physical SIN card or valid revenue Canada doc including full SIN number
  • Bondable, with a criminal record check less than 3 months old for new staff
  • Full time, available 5-6 days/week including weekends
