Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.
The Manager of Outpatients Services is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator. The purpose of the position is to coordinate service delivery and provide clinical leadership and coaching to an inter-professional community team that provides comprehensive community-based assessment, integrated collaborative treatment, rehabilitation and support services for clients with a serious mental illness, utilizing a variety of treatment modalities and interventions. The position supports the strategic direction, mission, vision and values of the organization.
Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 287 Bayshore Drive, Midland, ON.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Demonstrate comprehensive clinical competence and expertise by providing clinical leadership and coaching to clinical team members, such as problem identification, problem solving, team functioning, conflict resolution, resource allocation and promoting timely access to services.
- Provide recommendations to the Clinical Manager and Program Director relevant to the strategic priorities of the team and Program, and to the development and implementation of strategies for continuous quality improvement.
- Provide leadership and participates in the Accreditation process and implementation of the resulting recommendations.
- Assist the Clinical Manager to develop clinical practice models with the team, implementing and monitoring the practice model; assists with the development of program evaluation processes and monitoring of outcome measures.
- Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, assist with coordinating staff schedules, vacation schedules and meeting schedules, providing input into staff performance reviews, recruitment, interviewing and orientation of new staff.
- Assess ongoing training and education needs of staff and provides recommendations to the Clinical Manager.
- Support clinical staff to ensure required data collection meets organizational standards (e.g. MIS, LOCUS, Workload Measurement (GRASP), Wait list tracking etc.).
- Makes recommendations for budget allocations and expenditures.
- Promote positive work environments by role modeling professional behaviour, promoting teamwork and inter-professional collaboration, identifying workplace conflict and effectively supporting change initiatives; advise the Clinical Manager of unusual and/or potentially serious/risk situations; promotes and support psychological health and wellness/safety in the workplace.
- Support and participate in collaborative practices internally and externally to promote quality care.
- Participate in committee work, both internal to Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and external in the community, representing the team and organization’s perspective.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary education, preferably a university degree, in a related field (e.g. BScN, BSW/MSW, BscOT, MScOT, College of Psychotherapists) is required.
- Current and unrestricted membership in a healthcare regulatory college is mandatory.
- A current, valid driver's license is required.
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values (Caring, Respect, Accountability, Innovation)
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills.
