Position: Industrial Mechanic Location: Timmins  Schedule: 40 hours per week, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining operations and specifications.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines, to perform precision machining tasks (e.g., milling, drilling, grinding).
• Compute dimensions and tolerances, and measure and lay out workpieces using precision tools.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Fit and assemble machined parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company safety protocols and standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Physical Requirements

• Must be able to carry, lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must be able to bend, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.
• Must be able to use hand tools and provide their own tools.
• Must be able to travel to customer sites up to 100% of the time, including interprovincial travel where applicable. (Where applicable depending on the role)

REQUIREMENTS

1.Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

1. Experience Required

• 3-5 years of experience(experience in the drilling or mining industry is an asset
• Proficiencyin operating CNC and manual machine tools

1. Education Required

• Completion of secondary school
• Certification in a machinist apprenticeship program is an asset
