Position Summary:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Creative and Content, the Design Studio Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality print-ready and online-ready files, contributing design skills to projects, and translating art direction into final deliverables. These materials support marketing, advertising, promotional, and internal communication needs across all of UFA’s operating business units..

The Design Studio Specialist will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, peers in the marketing team, and external partners such as advertising and digital agencies. The role ensures that all visual design, user experience, and functionality standards meet business objectives and align with UFA’s brand guidelines across all channels – including traditional media, website, intranet platform, mobile apps and social media.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Translate art direction provided and contribute to visual design, and final production of advertising, communications and collateral materials for retail, B2B, and corporate communications business requirements. Ensure on-time delivery of creative projects for all business units. Partner with marketing team members and functional support teams to scope and plan projects requiring design studio support. Manage project work flow and maintain an organized archive of design assets and project documents. Maintain and update approved templates and files in the Brand Resources section of the UFA intranet. Collaborate with other members of the Marketing Communications & Brand team and agency partners to establish and uphold brand consistency across all UFA business units.

Qualifications required for the position: Degree from a recognized graphic design, information design, fine arts program or equivalent experience. More than 5 years’ experience in retail, B2B and corporate communications graphic design. A portfolio that demonstrates a proven ability to build brands and a passion for outstanding creative that aligns to business needs. Strong verbal, written and visual communications skills. Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with individuals and teams from various disciplines across the organization. Extensive experience working with design/graphic and production software including all components of the Adobe Creative Suite. Strong knowledge of traditional print and on-line production methods and processes.
