We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to help grow our business and contribute to our future. The Cyber Security Analyst plays an integral part in the development, implementation, and compliance of technical security across the enterprise. The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for managing risks related to information security, business continuity planning, crisis management, privacy, and compliance. In addition, the analyst works to ensure all staff members are trained on enterprise security requirements through awareness programs.

Reporting to the Director, Cybersecurity, other highlights include:

Assist in developing and implementing security standards, processes, procedures and guidelines for the organization.

  • Monitors and ensures security compliance within the ISC enterprise based on defined rules, regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate vulnerability scans and develops remediation plans to address discovered vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor security tools and responds to alerts and events and coordinates remediation efforts with vendors, partners and internal Technology Solutions teams.
  • Coordinate yearly security awareness training and performs regular phishing tests to assess security maturity.
  • Develop and maintains a standard security report set based on KPI’s and assists with internal and external security audits and penetration tests.
  • Track current security threats and trends and prioritize and coordinate the response to identified threats and risks.
  • Coordinate vulnerability scans for application development initiatives and other projects as required.
  • Work closely with other TS teams and business users by providing technical security troubleshooting skills and knowledge.

What you’ll need:

  • Knowledge and skills are generally obtained through a Degree in Computer Science with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related Security Analyst role.
  • CISSP or similar certification is desired.
  • Professional experience in analyzing and applying information security and risk management practices.
  • Knowledge of national and international regulatory compliances and frameworks, including ISO, SOX, BASEL II, EU DPD, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Knowledge of SIEM systems and malware defense systems.
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks and methodologies (i.e., NIST, ISO27002, OWASP, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to relay complex security information to technical and non-technical individuals.
  • A background in System Administration, Network Administration or Application development is a definite asset.
