The Opportunity
Keyano College’s Procurement & Compliance Services Department is currently seeking a Procurement Clerk to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis. The Procurement Clerk, under general supervision, provides public procurement services and contract administration to the College.
This is a six (6) month temporary role which starts as soon as possible.
Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with strategic procurement initiatives to support the College’s operational and academic goals.
- Conduct open and fair procurement that complies with trade agreements, legislation, and internal polices/procedures.
- Assist procurement coordinator with incoming requisitions
- Assist with public tendering processes via APC, including bid evaluations, vendor communications, and post-award debriefings.
- Develop and maintain a contract registry and facilitate its effective administration
- Assist in providing training to College employees on the relevant ERP system, procurement and contract processes.
- Preparation of formal documentation, proof and edit documents to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
- Assist with evaluating risk, ensure compliance, and determine steps to ensure the College will not be at risk.
- Maintain consistent and effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy; understanding the legal ramifications of purchasing decisions.
- Maintain a high level of diplomacy, political sensitivity, ethics, integrity, and discretion.
Qualifications

Business Administration Diploma with a minimum of 1 year procurement related experience and/or working in a post secondary environment

Knowledge of New West Partnership Trade Agreement, Canadian Free Trade Agreement and Canada Economic Trade Agreement

Familiarity with procurement processes with a focus on tendering and relevant legislation under the MASH sector
Please note that if your education was received internationally, upon hire we will require you to provide an international education assessment completed through WES, IQAS or one of the other IRCC approved designated organization.
Compensation and Benefits
- $36.01 per hour as per CUPE TS5 Temporary Rate
