Position: Video Producer/Editor, Bell Media Studios

Location: 299 Queen St W. Toronto

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime and weekend shifts as required.

Description Bell Media Studios is seeking a versatile and innovative Video Producer/Editor with proven expertise in creating compelling content for both broadcast television and digital platforms. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end production process for Etalk, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring content is optimized for multiple platforms, including linear broadcast, social media, and YouTube.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, develop and execute original content for Etalk across broadcast, digital and social platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice and audience expectations
  • Produce and edit video content for broadcast and repurposed on digital, including YouTube and social media, applying platform-specific best practices for engagement and discoverability
  • Lead post-production workflows including editing for pacing and clarity, color correction, audio balancing, motion graphics, captions and final delivery to multiple platforms
  • Repurpose broadcast content for digital and social platforms, optimizing for format, tone and audience behavior
  • Pitch and secure interviews, develop creative treatments, scripts and interview questions to deliver compelling storytelling
  • Manage the full production lifecycle from pre-production planning and field producing to post-production while maintaining brand standards and tight deadlines
  • Identify and deliver inclusive stories that reflect our audience and resonate with a broad, diverse viewership

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of professional video editing using Avid Media Composer and Avid MediaCentral Cloud UX
  • Strong understanding of broadcast workflows and digital content strategy
  • Experience creating content optimized for YouTube, focusing on mid- and long-form formats
  • Excellent project management skills, juggling multiple tasks and maintaining clear communication across various teams
  • Strong familiarity with Etalk and its on-air roster
  • Possess an initiative-taking personality, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills and experience dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven editorial sensibilities with high standards and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Television Broadcasting, Journalism, Digital, Film or related
  • Bilingualism is an asset
