As a Senior Enterprise Software Developer at FLYHT, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing software that supports our innovative aerospace data solutions. You’ll lead the creation of enterprise-grade applications that integrate with aircraft communication and measurement systems, all within a collaborative Agile environment. Your responsibilities will span the full development lifecycle—from planning and implementation to testing and deployment—with a strong focus on delivering reliable, scalable, and efficient software that meets customer needs. We’re looking for (not all required)
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (7+ years preferred)
- Completion of a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with one or more of Node.js, JavaScript, Angular, Typescript, Python, Go, Java
- Familiarity with AWS Serverless and Managed Technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, S3, RDS)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, Git, and automated testing frameworks
- Experience with enterprise software development, integration with hardware and third-party platforms
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport (travel may be required)
Assets (not required but would be looked at as differentiators)
- Understanding of Linux and RTOS BSPs
- Experience with test automation and automated code coverage analysis
- Knowledge of aeronautic industry standards (DO-278)
- Familiarity with aircraft data buses (ARINC 717, ARINC 429)
- Experience with satellite-based communication products
- Understanding of industry standard messaging protocols
- Experience simulating connected devices and systems
- Familiarity with IaC tools (SAM, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Experience with Android Studio, Xcode, and Atlassian tools
- Exposure to TDD and testing frameworks like Playwright, Pytest, Jest, Artillery
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
