Innotech Alberta is seeking a Business Partner, Asset and Program Coordination, within the Planning and Operations team. This role is integral to managing organizational assets, coordinating marketing initiatives, planning events, and supporting business development activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to optimize asset utilization, enhance brand visibility, position new services and deliver exceptional client engagement experiences. The Business Partner will strengthen client engagement to advance organizational priorities. This is a permanent position and will be based out of our Edmonton Research and Development Park office. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

Here’s some more information about the position:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Asset Management & Coordination

  • Maintain and reconcile asset inventory and lifecycle records.
  • Coordinate movement, utilization, and compliance of assets and facilities.
  • Manage specialized repositories, including the Oil Sands Sample Bank, ensuring secure storage and accurate cataloging.

Marketing & Brand Management

  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral and digital content.
  • Support social media operations and multimedia asset creation.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand compliance across platforms.

Event & Conference Coordination

  • Plan and execute logistics for tradeshows, conferences, and client events.
  • Oversee vendor coordination, booth setup, and risk management.
  • Administer event attendance tracking and reporting.

Business Development Support

  • Prepare BD-ready collateral and facility showcases.
  • Track leads from marketing/events and support pipeline reporting.
  • Assist in positioning new services and organizational assets.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Coordinate operating rhythms, key meetings, and reporting.
  • Liaise with Finance on forecasting and budget tracking.
  • Maintain consolidated trackers and provide progress summaries.

Qualifications and skills we are looking for:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, communications, marketing, or related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in coordination roles (asset management, event planning, communications, or business development).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SharePoint for document control and reporting.
  • Familiarity with asset management systems (e.g., ERP or inventory tracking tools).
  • Knowledge of event management platforms and registration systems.
  • Understanding of digital engagement tools (e.g., LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Media Valet).
  • Awareness of compliance and HSE protocols for asset handling and disposal
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop and deliver marketing and promotional materials.
  • Knowledge of event coordination, sponsorship management, and budget control.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports (asset utilization, event ROI, marketing analytics).
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen to position services and assets effectively.
  • Vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Basic multimedia content creation skills (video editing, graphic design) considered an asset.
