<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Job description</p><p>We are seeking a compassionate and reliable <strong>Live-in <strong>Home Support Worker</strong></strong> to provide personal and household support to an elderly person living in a private residence, based on medical and functional needs identified by the attending physician.</p><p>The elderly person speaks Cantonese and minimum English.</p><p><strong>This is a live-in position.<br />Private accommodation (bedroom with internet access) is provided in the employer's home</strong></p><p>The Home Support Worker will be responsible for assisting the care recipient with daily living activities and ensuring her safety, including:</p><ul><li>Assisting with <strong><strong>mobility and transfers</strong></strong>, including helping the client go up and down stairs and assisting with getting out of bed</li><li>Providing <strong><strong>occasional assistance with dressing and grooming</strong></strong>, including helping to put on certain clothing</li><li>Preparing meals, as the client <strong><strong>is unable to cook independently</strong></strong></li><li>Assisting with <strong><strong>light housekeeping and laundry</strong></strong></li><li>Providing <strong><strong>shopping and errand assistance</strong></strong>, as the client is unable to perform these tasks independently</li><li>Providing <strong><strong>safety monitoring and supervision</strong></strong>, as the client is at risk of falls and experiences dizziness</li><li>Offering general support and companionship as required</li></ul><p>The position is strictly non-medical and does not include nursing or clinical duties.</p><p>Work schedule</p><ul><li><strong><strong>7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.</strong></strong></li><li><strong><strong>5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.</strong></strong></li><li>Tuesday and Sunday off</li></ul><p>Employment type</p><p>Full-time, in-person, private household</p><p>The employer is a family member of the care recipient and is responsible for recruitment, supervision and payment of wages.</p></div></div>
