Position Summary:
The Health & Safety Administrator plays a key role in supporting food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards across all Food & Beverage operations at TD Coliseum. This position ensures compliance with local public health regulations, maintains proper documentation and record-keeping, and supports the leadership team in promoting a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. This position requires availability during nonstandard working hours, including weekends and holidays.
This role pays an hourly rate of $26.50-$30.00 CAD.

About the Venue:
TD Coliseum in Hamilton, ON - $280 million renovation. The project will transform the facility into an 18,000-seat capacity venue with a reimagined facade, premium seating, enhanced acoustics, improved sightlines, upgraded concourses, optimized clubs and suites and artist lounges.
The newly modernized venue will join a rapidly growing southwestern Canadian marketplace with the ability to accommodate larger shows alongside Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. Opening in Fall 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Support and oversee daily sanitation operations within all kitchen, bar, and concession areas.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the General Manager and Culinary Management Team regarding safety standards and safe food & beverages production and storage.
- Supervise, schedule, and assign tasks for stewarding and dishwashing teams.
- Conduct regular audits of food storage, labeling, and temperature control logs across all F&B outlets.
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all cleaning chemicals and supplies on site.
- Monitor and restock sanitation and safety supplies as needed for all OVG-operated locations.
- Ensure that all kitchens, bars, and service areas meet or exceed local public health standards and internal OVG safety guidelines.
- Assist in training culinary and service staff on health department requirements, safety procedures, and sanitation best practices.
- Submit and track maintenance requests for kitchen and food service equipment.
- Conduct and document regular inspections of dish areas, hand sinks, and three-compartment sinks to ensure compliance with health codes.
- Review and file hot box, freezers & refrigeration temperature logs after each event.
- Participate in accident prevention programs and immediately report any safety concerns or incidents to management.
- Support the implementation of OVG Hospitality’s environmental health and safety initiatives.

Qualifications:
Experience and Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or support role within a food & beverage or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of public health and sanitation standards.
- Advanced Food Handler Certification (mandatory).
- Food Safety Management Certification (preferred).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and promote a culture of safety.
- Working knowledge of Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations.
- Proficient in basic administrative tasks such as documentation, reporting, and inventory tracking.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced event and hospitality environment.
- Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels during events.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to move, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb stairs and perform repetitive motions.
- Evening, weekend, and event-based availability required.
