RECREATIONAL PROGRAM LEADERS ( Multiple Vacancies) JOB POSTING ID 25E-50 The Corporation of the City of North Bay is currently seeking applications for Recreational Program Leaders to work within the After School Programs. Programs run from Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year for youth ages 6-12.
Under the direction of the Community Development Coordinator, the Recreational Program Leaders will be responsible for the following:
- Day-to-day operation of Centre – report writing, program scheduling and paperwork
- Supervision of program participants ages 6-12
- General program coordination of physical activities, healthy food choices and nutrition, health and wellness activities, homework assistance, and arts & crafts
- Cleaning/sanitizing surfaces/equipment
Qualifications
- Must hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) dated within the last 3 months
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- Display leadership and supervisory skills
Assets: Preference given to bilingual candidates and those currently enrolled or possess a Degree in Recreation/Physical Education, Concurrent Education.
Hours of Work: Up to 15 hours a week as scheduled
Rate of Pay: $17.20 per hour plus vacation pay as legislated, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act
