Position Overview:

Join the Finning family! Finning Canada is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to support our Mildred Lake location on a 14x14 continuous shift. This position is responsible for maintaining the tool room inventory and shop supplies to support branch shop and field activities.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated individual and a team player with highly developed organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description:

Basic Functions:

  • Track and control tooling costs and repairs on a bi-weekly basis
  • Signing tools in and out
  • Maintaining tracking sheets of company issued tools to employees
  • Day to day repair of small tools and equipment
  • Coordination of shipping of tools for repair and calibration
  • Working with the Service Operations Manager to coordinate tool replacement, additions and repair cost options

Qualifications:

  • Completion of grade 12 and be mechanically inclined, coupled with tool repair and/or tool maintenance and purchasing experience
  • Self-starter able to follow directions, work well with others and has the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a safe team environment
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Previous building maintenance and shipping/receiving experience will be considered assets
  • Computer experience coupled with DBS and SIS will also be considered assets

**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement**
