About the role
Position Description
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in clinical practice, teaching, and research in the field of emergency medicine.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care in emergency medicine.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Conduct and publish research in emergency medicine.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and departments.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Eligibility for licensure in Ontario.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice and teaching.
- A strong record of research and publications in emergency medicine.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in emergency medicine.
- Experience in leadership roles within academic medicine.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Other Relevant Details
The position is available immediately and will remain open until filled. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Department and the University.
