The Account Manager, Fundraising – internally referred to as the Manager, Resource Development, will coordinate multiple fundraising activities and priorities in a fast-paced department. This includes managing a portfolio of workplace campaigns, conducting presentations, senior volunteer engagement, supporting a pipeline of donor relations, and exploring new partnership opportunities.
Core Functions:
- Provide expertise in corporate, employee, individual and/or special events fundraising approaches
- Contribute to strategy development for selection and recruitment of fundraising volunteers. Ensure that they receive appropriate orientation and training
- Work closely with senior/key volunteers to ensure that they remain engaged and motivated; ensure that they are well-prepared for all meetings, calls and events
- Develop and implement campaign growth goals for assigned portfolio in keeping with the overall campaign objectives
- Retain, migrate and grow a portfolio of individual donors giving at the leadership level
- Build, manage and grow a pipeline of new donor prospects, including new business partnerships
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies as necessary to correct sub-optimal fundraising results
- Manage assigned temporary campaign staff by providing training, support, problem solving and assessment of performance
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ fundraising or sales experience
- Project management and/or sales and marketing experience
- Strong digital literacy, including comfort working across multiple systems and platforms
- Experience using CRM or donor management systems to support coordination, tracking, and reporting
- Experience delivering presentations and training sessions
- Demonstrated ability to analyze appropriate information for the purposes of problem solving and decision making
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and manage contentious issues to resolution
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage constituent stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and carry projects to completion with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal and stakeholder service skills including the ability to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse employee population and multiple stakeholders
