The Role We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Manufacturing team in Swift Current. . The Material Handler identifies, transports, packages, removes and disposes of materials in accordance with Safe Work Procedures. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills and will also be capable of responding quickly to the ever-changing production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily checks for equipment and complete check sheets
- Pick and fill workstations:
- Deliver materials on time
- Record all materials transferred to work stations
- Receive materials, and complete paperwork by deadline
- Perform accurate cycle counts
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Generate all shipping, (both domestic and export) and receiving documentation
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent
- Experience in material handling, or previous comparable job experience
- Competent in the safe operation of a forklift
- Ability to measure raw stock
- Able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs
- Strong organizational skills
- Above average math skills
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively
