Job Summary: In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of PHSA safety, including both patient and employee safety, is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at PHSA’s Agencies/Divisions/Services, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. Reporting to the Program Manager, Project Controls, the Data Analyst develops and maintains complex datasets by conducting systems analyses, writing codes using SQL and Python to connect data and automate reports and dashboards. Conducts Quality Assurance reviews of IT infrastructure project proposals and change requests, and provides costing, reporting, and analyses of active projects. In addition, the Data Analyst is responsible for the analyses and documentation of project related business, process requirements and templates. Duties/Accountabilities: 1. Under close supervision, develops and maintains complex datasets by combining data, writing queries and codes to automate reports and dashboards; tests, modifies and maintains programs; ensures compliance within department resourcing 2. Gathers and analyzes information for project proposals and change requests based on business specifications, including IT infrastructure hardware costing information, and provides analysis and reporting to executive. 3. Monitors departmental inboxes for report and project requests, as well as processing time adjustment requests in order to capture time spent on projects. 4. Monitors implementation of new and revised application lists within project databases and applications and takes action to correct errors within system and reports. 5. Develops and documents Project Services business processes, policies, procedures, and reference materials by designing forms, preparing flow charts and detailing specifications. 6. Reviews project proposals and change requests to verify that appropriate details such as the applicable standard terms and conditions are captured in accordance with PHSA standards / templates, and any wording / content inconsistencies are identified and clarified. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Business Administration, Health Administration, Computer Science or a related discipline, two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Skills and Abilities - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Ability to deal with others effectively. - Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. - Ability to organize work. - Ability to operate related equipment.
