Posting Overview:

This is an internal/external posting. First preference will be given to qualified permanent Secondary L.K.D.S.B. teachers.

Reporting to the System Coordinator of Alternative and Continuing Education, the Lenape Language Teacher will provide a Lenape language program at a site to be determined at Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit. Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit will provide support for the program with the provision of community knowledge keepers and language speakers.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification required;

  • Lenape language proficiency required;

  • Experience working with Indigenous students an asset;

  • Experience with credit recovery and/or student success initiatives an asset.

Position Effective Date & Schedule:

9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Rate: $60.04/hour
