###The Himel Branch

The Ben and Edith Himel Education Centre on the Vaughan Jewish Community Campus opened in 2013 with 67 students and one class each in Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1. Over the years, the Himel Branch has experienced exponential growth and is now a thriving community of 625 students and multiple classes from JK through Grade 8. The branch has expanded to two buildings – Himel East and Himel West – in facilities that include a beautiful new gym, STEM labs and communal learning spaces.

**Position Title:**Principal, Himel Branch

**Location:**Himel Branch, located in the Ben and Edith Himel Education Centre on the Vaughan Jewish Community Campus – 180 Ilan Ramon Boulevard (West) and 9600 Bathurst Street (East), Vaughan, ON

**Reports to:**Head of School

**Reports:**Total staff compliment of 75 including 67 Teachers and Teaching Assistants and 8 Administrative Staff (two Vice Principals – Himel East and Himel West, two Facilities, four Office)

The Principal, Himel Branch, will be a dynamic, visionary leader dedicated to academic excellence and Jewish education. They will play a pivotal role in shaping Bialik’s future by empowering educators, fostering a vibrant student culture, and building strong community partnerships. Reporting to the Head of School, the Principal, Himel Branch will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring the highest standards are met in relation to the health, safety and overall well-being of students and staff at Himel.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000.

This position will become vacant at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

• Hebrew language skills are considered an asset.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Masters considered an asset).
