Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Project Head with 15+ years of experience in infrastructure/energy projects , including significant experience in utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects . The Project Head will be responsible for overall project leadership from planning to commissioning , ensuring successful delivery of solar power projects within schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards .
The role requires strong technical knowledge, project management expertise, leadership capability, and stakeholder management skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities

Overall Project Leadership

Lead and manage end-to-end execution of utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects.

Oversee the project lifecycle from design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.

Define project strategy, timelines, and resource allocation.

Project Planning & Execution
-
Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and resource plans.

Monitor project progress and implement corrective measures when required.

Ensure smooth coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
-
Manage multiple project sites if required.

Technical Oversight
-
Provide high-level oversight of civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering activities.

Review and approve key technical designs including:

Site layout and grading
-
Foundation design for mounting structures
-
Electrical SLDs and grid interconnection
-
Equipment specifications
-
Resolve complex technical issues during project execution.

Budget & Cost Management
-
Manage project budgets and ensure cost optimization.
-
Monitor project expenditures and approve major procurement decisions.

Implement cost control measures to maintain project profitability.

Stakeholder Management
-
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, investors, consultants, and government authorities.

Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders.

Ensure effective communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management
-
Identify project risks related to schedule, cost, technical issues, and regulatory approvals.

Develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

Quality & Safety Management
-
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, construction best practices, and HSE policies.

Conduct periodic site audits to ensure safety and quality compliance.
-
Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.

Team Leadership & Development
-
Lead and mentor project managers, construction managers, engineers, and site teams.
-
Build and manage a high-performing project team.
-
Ensure effective coordination between cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical).
- 15+ years of experience in project management, with at least 8+ years in solar EPC or renewable energy projects.
- Proven experience leading utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects (50MW+ preferred).
- Strong understanding of:
- Solar PV system design and construction
- Grid interconnection and electrical systems
- Civil and structural works for solar plants
- Project planning and execution
- Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA in Project Management (preferred).
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience managing multiple solar projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
