St. Joseph’s key clinical areas include acute/ambulatory care (including chronic disease management, urgent care, surgery, and medical imaging), rehabilitation, specialized geriatric services, complex care, veterans care, long-term care, and specialized mental health care. The research arm, Lawson Research Institute, is one of Canada’s top research institutes focused on the development of new knowledge that is being applied directly to patient care.

Prime Management Group Inc. is pleased to be partnering with St. Joseph's Health Care London in the search for a highly qualified and innovative Director, Information Technology Services (ITS). Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this service-focused leader will be vital in providing strategic direction, resource management, and leadership for all IT services across St. Joseph's, including corporate and clinical technology infrastructure, systems, and services. In this unique position, the Director of ITS will also have the opportunity to grow, expand and transform the IT function for the hospital.

This hands-on leader will have demonstrated experience leading major technology, process improvement, and transformational projects, with a high level of effective change management, and an ability to deliver projects on scope, time, and budget. This dynamic leader will be responsible for policies, processes, and procedures to ensure effective IT operations and data safeguarding, including personal health information. This visionary and forward-thinking Director will effectively collaborate with external hospital partners, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for partnership, while leading the development of a data governance model. Likewise, this passionate leader will oversee all IT operations, including; vendor management, IT infrastructure (hospital-based and data centre-based), devices (endpoint computer and related), network and telecommunications, corporate applications and clinical systems support, IT security/cyber security programs, disaster recovery and risk management.

The Director, ITS will have proven experience leading and facilitating cross-functional teams in a healthcare (or similar setting), and the ability to collaborate and partner with a wide variety of stakeholders, including community partners, to balance the needs and interests of diverse groups while maintaining alignment with strategic priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical, including the ability to present to diverse audiences, including those in senior leadership roles. In addition, a working knowledge and understanding of the Public Hospitals Act and all related healthcare legislations and regulations in the province of Ontario is important.

To excel in this role, the Director, ITS will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Informatics, Business, or a related field. However, preference will be given to candidates with a Master's Degree with experience in the healthcare field or similar large scale, service-based environment. The qualified leader should have a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in Information Technology, with 10-15 years of experience in multiple Information Technology disciplines/functional areas. In addition, knowledge of PC hardware/architecture and software applications, including Windows and Microsoft 365, is essential. Lastly, a working knowledge of digital health/electronic health records systems, preferably Oracle Health (Cerner), is highly desirable. Proficiency in French is an asset.

Immunization Requirements

• Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.

• Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)

• Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
