WHERE YOU COME IN We are looking for a Data & Reporting Analyst to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Director, Business Applications, this role works closely with mission, fund development, leadership, and operations teams to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights. You will play a key role in transforming organizational data into intelligence that supports fundraising, marketing, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
This role can be based out of Toronto or Pickering offices and is a full-time, hybrid, 12-month contract position.
What You Will Do
- Create, implement, and maintain standard reports, dashboards, and alerts to support business decision-making.
- Develop segmentation strategies to support enhanced and personalized supporter journeys.
- Monitor, control, and improve data quality, resolving errors and performing updates as required.
- Collaborate with governance teams to influence how data is collected and reported in alignment with organizational strategy.
- Analyze donor segmentation, engagement levels, campaign performance, and fundraising and marketing metrics.
- Design and maintain interactive, drill-down dashboards and reports within CRM and related platforms.
- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources to support cross-application analysis.
- Identify trends related to attrition, donations, engagement, and mission-related metrics.
- Develop processes and reports to monitor data quality and identify anomalies.
- Prepare complex contact lists and final campaign files for communications and database uploads.
- Maintain expertise in data models and standards, and support users with reporting tools.
- Support ad hoc and mass data updates to align with standards and system integrations.
- Provide expertise on information management projects and ongoing support requests.
- Work with management and departmental leaders to prioritize data and reporting needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Education in Mathematics, Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent experience, training and education.
- 7+ years of experience as a data or reporting analyst or in a related field.
- Strong experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards in Salesforce.
- Proven experience using analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SPSS, or SAS.
- Expert knowledge of database and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or JSON.
- Strong skills in data modelling, identity reconciliation, duplicate management, and segmentation.
- Expert level Excel skills.
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Data Cloud Consultant, Tableau CRM, Einstein Discovery, Marketing Cloud) are an asset.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- A clear Criminal Background Check is required.
YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Hybrid work model, with 2 days in-office per week and 3 days remote. Occasional requirement to work outside of regular office hours.

- Work under pressure of tight deadlines, balancing high volume workload, and with multiple demands and changing priorities.
