Job Summary
The School of Nursing is recognized for advancing nursing knowledge, practice and policy. Exceptional nurses begin and further their education and careers at Dalhousie University. Reporting to the Administrative Manager, the Graduate Program Coordinator will provide support for the Master of Nursing (MN), MScN, and PhD (Nursing) programs as well as administrative support to the Associate Director – Graduate Studies, Assistant Director – Graduate Clinical Programs, Nurse Practitioner Coordinator, and Clinical Placement Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities

Respond to enquiries from students and prospective students regarding programs, courses, and course sequencing, referring specific questions to the Associate Director or other graduate faculty members as appropriate.

In consultation with the Associate Director, identifies students eligible for scholarships, tracks applications, and coordinates the Graduate Student Affairs Committee review of applications.

Sets up and maintains electronic files for each graduate student, including entry requirements, course sequencing, and program requirements.

Facilitate graduate course delivery (facilities, resources, class lists, grade submission, annual reports, and updates to the academic timetable), and assist with program modifications and accreditation processes.

Provide support to the Nurse Practitioner Coordinator and Clinical Placement Coordinator, including maintaining records relevant to student pre-clinical documentation and clinical preceptors.

Produce graduate student recruitment, admissions, graduation, and employment statistics and reports for the Associate Director – Graduate Studies, including submissions to external agencies.
Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Required Qualifications
-
Business/Office Administration training with three to five years’ related work experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).

Experience maintaining electronic files including database development and implementation.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
-
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Assets
-
Experience with or knowledge of updating websites using a Content Management System (CMS).
-
Previous experience working in an educational institution.
-
Experience working with Banner and/or Navigator software.
